 Bible Studies  Joni Leahy - Bible Studies DirectorWhen I think of the Bible, God's Word; a lump forms in my throat; it was through God's Word I found healing and freedom in 1996. I was saved when I was 9 and raised in the church; so I had a working, head knowledge of Christ and the Bible but not personal heart knowledge. That's where my passion for learning and studying and came from, it's personal. I LOVE God's Word because I KNOW it is alive, powerful and active and as a Christian woman, that's exactly how I want to be. I am married to Bob 30 years this year and we have 3 amazing children, a precious 3 year old granddaughter and our dog, Chip. We have been a member of WaterStone for 2 years and I am on the board of Passionate Heart Ministries. This ministry's vision to reach this city for Christ by touching the hearts of women through conferences; monthly worship and teaching and yearly outreach conferences. Begins January 22, 2010 Cost: $17; No childcare available About the Study: Who is the promised Messiah that will sit on the throne of David? What is His kingdom? What is the lifestyle of those who are a part of his kingdom? The class includes a one-hour discussion of our weekly homework, followed by fellowship and snack break. The second hour we watch an optional DVD lecture or share a small group prayer time. We have an end of the study brunch in April. Please join us!
What is a Precept Bible Study? It uses an inductive technique to train a student how to analyze scripture and keep it in its proper context before any interpreting or commentary work is done.
