Dear Pergamum: The Church Who Compromised

Compromise rarely happens all at once. It begins when conviction is softened, truth is negotiated, and the desire to fit in becomes more important than the call to remain faithful. The message to Pergamum reminds us that standing for truth requires courage, especially when pressure surrounds us and compromise feels easier. Faithfulness means refusing to trade conviction for comfort and choosing to honor God even when the culture pushes in another direction. The question is not simply what we believe, but whether our lives demonstrate that belief when obedience costs something.
